Erin Stanley and Katie Webster of Vancouver’s best-kept fashion secret, Daughters of Dawn Vintage are in the process of putting together their pre-spring lookbook and I had the pleasure of working with them again on the photo shoot last Saturday.

The photos were captured by the talented Tyson Fast in an amazing vacant building on the Downtown Eastside. The model was Shannon from Vancouver agency Lexington Models. Everyone did a stellar job on set, but special kudos have to go out to Shannon for her professionalism. The building smelled like 30 years of mildew and was freezing cold, but she made being fabulous look effortless!

Here are the details on Shannon’s ultrasoft, ultrafeminine makeup look…

Prep:

Skin:

Cheeks:

  • Make Up For Ever Powder Blush in Cotton Candy #88 concentrated on the apples of the cheeks and blended out onto the cheekbones for a flushed effect.

Brows:

  • MAC Eye Shadow in Charcoal Brown was applied very lightly to the brows to fill in and define their shape.

Eyes:

  • Base: LORAC Eye Shadow/Liner in 24K Gold was blended onto the eyelids with my fingertips.
  • Lids: MAC Eye Shadow in Vanilla was blended onto the eyelids using a small eyeshadow brush.
  • Crease: MAC Eye Shadow in Soft Brown was used to lightly contour the crease.
  • Liner: MAC Eye Shadow in Charcoal Brown was used to define the upper lash line with a small angled brush. This shade was also lightly blended into the lower lashline for definition.

Lashes:

Lips:
