MAC Unveils “Style Warrior” Collection

I departed the Modern Mix Vancouver One Year Anniversary & Reader Appreciation Party in order to be back downtown in time to check out the preview of the MAC “Style Warrior” Collection at MAC Pro on Robson.

MAC is bringing back the GLAMAZON! A tanned model rocking major hair and an amazing floor length leopard print beach coverup over a matching two-piece swimsuit circulated promotional material that posed the question of the night: “What kind of Style Warrior are you?”

Packaged in safari-ready leopard and zebra print containers, the collection offers many options for creating a glowing canvas the face and body: Bronzing Powders, Beauty Powders, Iridescent Loose Powder in “Golden Bronze”, and Skinsheen provide different textures and levels of shimmer depending on the finish you desire. I’m most excited about the Lustre Drops, which are pearlized liquids that you can blend into your skin alone or mixed into your foundation for a subtle glow that won’t leave you looking like you were go-go dancing in a hot yoga studio.

The Eyeshadows in this collection include frosty yellow, rich chocolate tones, and vivid purple. Solar Bits are available in three very shimmery, almost glittery shades and have a similar feel to the loose pigments but not the same level of intensity as the loose pigments. MAC Eye Kohl in “Smolder” and MAC Pro Lash Mascara round out the eye products for the collection.

The lip colours (Lipstick and Lipglass) and Nail Lacquers in this collection are generally pearly, ranging from pale beige to magenta and blackened shades of bronze and berry.

If you are interested in trying out new finishes like dewy, shimmery, or metallic, then MAC “Style Warrior” is definitely worth checking out! But be forewarned…as is often the case with MAC collections in recent years, if you find a product you love, find out if it’s Limited Edition and stock up before it’s gone!
